What the work actually looks like
Exhibit labor runs on the show calendar, not the office calendar. A typical job starts with an early call time at a convention center dock, a stack of crates and a set of setup drawings. From there it is measuring, leveling, panel work, hanging graphics, mounting monitors and running the finish details until the booth matches the drawing. Days can be long during move-in and move-out, and quiet in between. If you like work that is finished and visible at the end of the day, this is that kind of work.
Most of what we do happens inside union halls and alongside a show general contractor, so knowing how to work cleanly within someone else’s schedule matters as much as knowing how to use the tools. Crews travel: a week in Las Vegas, a turnaround in Orlando, a regional job close to home.
Roles we hire for
- Installers – the core of every crew. Hand and power tools, crate handling, panel and graphic work, monitor and AV mounting.
- Crew leads – installers who can read a full set of drawings, sequence a build, and keep a team of six moving without being asked twice.
- On-site supervisors – the person the client talks to. Manages the labor plan, the GC relationship, freight timing and the punch list.
- Warehouse and prep – receiving, inventory, crate repair and staging exhibits between shows.
What we look for
Reliability first. A crew is only as good as whether everyone shows up at call time, and the people who do that consistently move up quickly here. Beyond that: comfort with hand and power tools, the ability to read a setup drawing, awareness of what is happening above and around you on a busy floor, and a willingness to travel. Forklift or scissor-lift certification, rigging experience, AV or electrical background and previous show-floor time are all worth telling us about, but none of them are required to start.
Where the work is
We field crews in California, Florida, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York and Texas, and travel to shows nationwide. Being based near a major convention market helps, but plenty of our people fly to the show and home again.
How hiring works
Fill in the form on this page with the role you are after and attach a resume. If it looks like a fit, someone from our team will call you for a conversation about your experience, your availability and which markets you can work. From there it is usually a first show alongside an experienced lead, who will tell you honestly how it went.
Not sure which role fits? Apply anyway and say so in the form – we would rather have the conversation than lose a good person to a dropdown menu.
