Overview
Disney+ and Hulu took one of the largest footprints on the D23 2026 floor at the Anaheim Convention Center — a long, low pavilion wrapped in illuminated poster galleries, with the Disney+ | Hulu Theater at one end, themed environments for individual titles inside, and a retail store and pin-trading floor within the same structure. The whole build runs on a continuous light line: a slim illuminated frame tracing every wall, header and doorway, with backlit title panels set into it.
All Exhibit Solutions supplied the install and dismantle labor. The crew stood the perimeter and interior walls, ran the lit frame as one unbroken circuit around the structure, set the backlit panels and large-format graphics into it, then built out the theater entrance, the title environments and the retail fixtures before doors opened on August 14. Dismantle followed after close on the 16th.
Pavilion Exterior
Challenge
A continuous light line is unforgiving. The illuminated frame that defines this pavilion runs around every wall, header and doorway on the structure, so a wall that sits proud, a header a few millimetres low, or a corner out of square reads as a break in the light from across the hall. On top of that the pavilion had to work as four things at once — a theater with its own queue, a walk-through poster gallery, a retail store and a pin-trading floor — each with its own power, AV and fixture package behind the same skin.
"The light line is the whole booth. If the frame is not true, none of the rest of the week matters — that is the line people see first, from halfway across the hall."
— Project Lead, AES
Approach
Walls & Frame Circuit
Stood the perimeter and interior walls to the drawings, then ran the illuminated frame as one continuous circuit — checking level and square at every corner and opening before the light channel was closed in.
Graphics & Backlit Panels
Set the backlit title panels and large-format wall graphics into the frame, aligning each panel to the light line so artwork and illumination read as a single surface.
Theater, Sets & AV
Built out the theater entrance and queue, the individual title environments and the screens inside them, sequencing power and data runs behind the walls as each section closed.
Retail, Pin Floor & Walkthrough
Set the retail fixtures and pin-trading stations, received and staged merchandise, then walked the full pavilion with the client team ahead of opening.
Results
The pavilion opened on schedule on August 14 and held queues through all three days, with the theater running sessions back to back and the galleries and retail floor busy from open to close. The light line stayed clean for the full run, and the crew turned the dismantle on schedule after close on the 16th.
