Overview
Olive Young built its FESTA experience into KCON LA 2026 as a K-beauty playground — a miniature Seoul laid out across 230’ × 220’ of the Los Angeles Convention Center’s South Hall, with named streets, crosswalks, tiled storefront facades and a pitched-roof house structure standing in for Seongsu, Gangnam, Myeong-dong and Hongdae. Skin-scan stations, a UGC photo set, an LED-wrapped studio and a full retail checkout gate all sat inside the same footprint.
All Exhibit Solutions supplied the install and dismantle labor across a five-day move-in at the LACC. The crew worked from marking and electrical through wall panels, large-format graphics, LED walls and a seven-metre overhead truss carrying 22 par fixtures and 12 speakers, handing a finished environment to the brand team ahead of the pre-show video shoot. After the three-day run, the entire 4,487 m² activation came down in under twelve working hours.
Booth Floor Plan
Challenge
At 4,487 square metres, the Olive Young FESTA footprint was less a booth than a small neighbourhood — four named streets, a dozen retail and experience zones, a pitched-roof house structure, multiple LED walls and a hanging truss at seven metres carrying 22 par fixtures and 12 speakers. Everything had to be marked, powered, stood and finished inside a five-day move-in window shared with the rest of the KCON build, with a client video shoot locked to the evening before doors.
"On a floor this size the schedule is the structure. Miss the marking or the electrical on day one and you are chasing it for the rest of the week."
— Project Lead, AES
Approach
Marking & Electrical
Set the full floor layout and ran electrical across the opening two days of move-in, working the 08:00–14:00 window so streets, zones and power drops were fixed before anything went vertical.
Structure & Streets
Stood the wall systems, storefront facades and the pitched-roof house, then set crosswalks, curbs and street signage so the Seongsu, Gangnam, Myeong-dong and Hongdae blocks read as one continuous streetscape.
Truss, LED & AV
Rigged the overhead truss at seven metres with 22 par fixtures and 12 speakers, then set and aligned the LED walls and studio screens across the activation.
Graphics & Handover
Applied large-format graphics and finish detail zone by zone, then walked the whole floor with the brand team ahead of the pre-show video shoot on the final install evening.
Results
Doors opened on schedule for all three days of KCON LA 2026, with every street, scan station and LED wall live from the first morning. The crew turned the dismantle in two moves — an evening strike after close and a half-day pack-out the following morning — clearing the hall inside the venue window with the property crated and accounted for.
Booth Highlights
A few frames from move-in at the Los Angeles Convention Center — graphics, structure and street set work on the Olive Young FESTA build.
A Miniature Seoul
Four named streets — Seongsu, Gangnam, Myeong-dong and Hongdae — built out with storefront facades, crosswalks and signage so attendees moved through neighbourhoods rather than aisles.
Overhead Truss & Lighting
A hanging truss at seven metres carrying 22 par fixtures and 12 speakers, washing the whole footprint evenly and keeping audio consistent across every zone.
Retail, Scan & Studio Zones
Skin-scan stations, a checkout gate, a UGC photo set and an LED-wrapped studio, each with its own power, AV and finish package inside the same continuous build.
